ABOUT ME

I’m a product & brand designer based in the Pacific Northwest, blending creativity with a practical, problem-solving approach. With over a decade of experience, I’ve had the opportunity to work across diverse B2B and B2C teams, from energetic pre-seed startups to larger organizations.

I’m passionate about turning abstract concepts into thoughtfully crafted, user-centered designs that people genuinely enjoy. My design philosophy focuses on empathy, usability, and a bit of playfulness to bring delight.

Always open to a conversation, so feel free toif you'd like to collaborate!

HOW I WORK
01

the Problem & Business Goals

Gather context: Engage with stakeholders to understand the problem space, key business objectives, user pain points, and any market opportunities. Clarify success metrics.

Define constraints: Identify technical, financial, and timeline constraints to ensure realistic design outcomes.
02

DEEP USER RESEARCH

Identify target users: Determine who your primary users are and what their needs, behaviors, and pain points are.

Conduct research: Use methods like user interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis to deeply understand the user's journey and context of the problem.

Synthesize insights: Translate findings into user personas, empathy maps, and user stories to keep the design user-centered.
03

DEFINE VISION & SCOPE

Create a vision: Develop a clear, inspiring product vision that aligns with business and user goals. Craft a value proposition that communicates how the product solves key problems for the users.

Prioritize features: Collaborate with product managers to define the scope of features and functionality for the Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Use frameworks like MoSCoW (Must-have, Should-have, Could-have, Won't-have) for prioritization.
04

DISCOVERY & PROTOTYPE

Sketch and wireframe: Start with low-fidelity wireframes or sketches to quickly explore different ideas and get feedback.

Build prototypes: Develop interactive prototypes using tools like Figma or Sketch to test flows and key interactions. This is important to validate assumptions before committing to code.

Test and gather feedback: Conduct usability testing with real users, gathering feedback to iterate and improve the design.
05

COLLABORATE, PAIR & ITERATE

Communicate design decisions: Present the design rationale clearly to cross-functional teams, ensuring that developers, product managers, and other stakeholders understand the thought process.

Prepare assets for handoff
: Organize final designs, create design systems or components, and ensure detailed specifications are documented for developers.

Iterate post-launch: Once the product is live, gather user data and feedback to make improvements in future iterations.
